Baby(s) within the travel group

This information explains the rules for booking accommodation with a baby.

BABIES COUNT AS A PERSON

A baby (up to 1 year old) counts as a person. During the booking process you can enter your travel group, specifying how many adults, children, babies and pets are travelling with you. This way, only accommodation suitable for the size of your party will be shown, including sufficient seating and sleeping places.

BABY OVER THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE

Most accommodation allows you to take one baby over the maximum number of people. For example, if you book for four people, you are allowed to bring four people and one extra baby. Other babies up to 1 year old will then count in the number of persons. This is so regulated because of safety rules.

EXCEPTIONS

Some accommodation does not allow you to bring an extra baby due to safety requirements. These accommodations are not shown if you enter the correct number of persons when booking. In chalets at Fort den Haak, the maximum number of persons and babies together may not exceed the maximum, as there is not enough space. Babies here count directly in the total travel party.

COSTS FOR A BABY

Babies stay for free, but tourist tax must be paid, as it is compulsory for every person staying overnight in another municipality, regardless of age. While booking, you can differentiate between babies, children and adults.
